ABOUT NICOLE TURNIPSEED DURKIN

Nicole Turnipseed Durkin has over 20 years of experience as a risk mitigation and forensic accounting professional. Nicole’s experience includes assisting audit teams, legal counsel and both private and publicly traded clients with fraud investigations, the identification and assessment of fraud risks and the development of procedures to effectively respond to and remediate fraud risks. In her current role, Nicole serves as a Partner and the National Director of Audit Incident Response within RSM’s National Office. Nicole guides the firm’s audit teams and their clients in responding to instances of actual, alleged or suspected fraud or misconduct and violations of laws and regulations as well as non-routine regulatory investigations. Nicole serves as a liaison between the firm’s Audit teams and client’s investigating counsel and forensic accountants to assist the audit team with the assessment and development of procedures in these high risk situations. Nicole has significant experience serving both privately held and publicly traded clients of different sizes as well as a diverse range of industry experience including consumer and industrial products, financial services, healthcare, media, not-for-profit and real estate entities, as well as private equity portfolio companies. Nicole also provides support to the firm’s leadership for significant risk events that may occur and serves as a liaison between leadership, General Counsel’s Office, Employee Relations, Corporate Communications, Cyber Incident Response Team and others responding to significant risk events impacting the firm.
