Nicole D. Snyder concentrates her legal practice primarily in the areas of charter school law, education law, special education law, education policy and reform, litigation & insurance defense. She also routinely attends board meetings; trains and advises school personnel, administrators and boards; assists in the development of legally compliant school policies and procedures; drafts and reviews pleadings, including but not limited to briefs, answers, complaints and dispositive motions; conducts discovery; reviews and drafts contracts, settlement agreements, trust agreements, case status updates, opinion letters & legal memoranda; represents clients in proceedings before administrative agencies and courts; attends depositions, resolution sessions, meetings and alternative dispute resolution sessions; represents clients in individual and school-wide OCR complaints and investigations; reviews and provides testimony on proposed and enacted legislation and administrative regulations affecting clients; testified before Statewide Special Education Funding Commission for equitable funding for students with disabilities enrolled in charter schools; and is a frequently invited lecturer, co-presenter and contributing author on various special education law topics, education law topics and attorney ethics.
