ABOUT NICOLE L. NOVAK
I am a social epidemiologist and community health researcher with a focus on health equity and health disparities in the United States. I use epidemiologic and community-engaged research methods to study structural and policy influences on the health of immigrants, families and rural residents. I have particular interests in reproductive and perinatal health.I have partnered with multiple community-based organizations addressing issues related to health equity in Iowa, including the League of United Latin American Citizens, the Center for Worker Justice of Eastern Iowa, the Iowa Harm Reduction Coalition, the Prairielands Freedom Fund, and Iowa Migrant Movement for Justice.
