ABOUT NICOLE JACONETTY

Bringing a lifetime of personal experience in and around politics to her work for the last decade, Nicole has developed a deep electoral and advocacy research expertise, especially with Midwest voters and swing audiences. Throughout her academic and professional career, Nicole’s research has focused on important language distinctions that engage key persuasion groups, particularly through shared values stemming from regional, religious, and class backgrounds and worldviews.Her research in 2024 helped Kristen McDonald Rivet win MI-08, a district Trump won by two, by seven points – the largest over-performance by a non-incumbent Democrat in the country. And her work in 2022 was instrumental in flipping the Michigan Senate blue and achieving a trifecta in state government for the first time in 40 years and re-electing State Auditor Rob Sand, now the only Democrat to hold statewide office in Iowa.Working alongside partners and allies like the League of Conservation Voters, Climate Power, Evergreen Action, the Energy Foundation, the Environmental Defense Fund, the American Lung Association, and many others, her advocacy work is primarily focused on encouraging political and industry stakeholders to support a shift to clean energy and stemming the tide of rising energy costs – especially in the Deep South, Mid-Atlantic, and Ohio River Valley regions.Nicole is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Fordham University, having pursued a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham College Rose Hill in American Studies, Anthropology, and Political Science and earning magna cum laude honors. She graduated with distinction from Fordham’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences the following year, receiving a Master of Arts in Elections and Campaign Management and earning two Pollie Awards from the American Association of Political Consultants.After living nearly a decade in New York City, Nicole once again calls Chicago\'s Northwest Side home with her husband, two daughters, and miniature dachshund. She is a certified barre instructor as well as an Irish dance teacher, following a successful competitive dance career on the regional, national, and international stage.
