Formulate procurement strategy in alignment with policies and objectives.Oversee the execution of routine commodity purchases to include Request for Proposal, Invitations to Bid, Requests for Information and all related documentation.Assist Sr. Management with follow-up marketing plans and strategies including reviewing items, manuscripts, and communicates purchase order cancellations, revisions, and RTV to suppliers.Review, evaluate, and monitor department purchase requisitions for proper authorization, specifications, and legal compliance.Work with vendors to ensure product availability, delivery scheduling and to solve any pricing or other issues.Study full product lines, becoming an expert in product knowledge to seek out new products that will help increase the company’s profitability.Run and analyze reports to determine the appropriate inventory levels are held at each warehouse.Work with vendors and internal users to insure satisfactory procurement of materials.Support e-procurement programs by helping suppliers obtain goods and services via EDI.Monitor supplier performance in accordance with the company’s expectations.Research market and industry trends, analyze business processes to identify opportunities across the supply chain, and make recommendations on logistics planning.Evaluate total cost/supply analysis to identify opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership
