ABOUT NICOLE DZIEDZIC
Research Scientist with a Master’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Illinois Chicago and over 8 years of laboratory and field experience spanning environmental science, plant physiology, ecology, forestry, urban ecosystems, and climate resilience. My research focuses on urban trees and green infrastructure, exploring how they improve environmental and human health, support biodiversity, and strengthen climate resilience in cities. I am passionate about translating data-driven research into actionable solutions that guide urban planning, inform policy, and support community initiatives. Through collaborations with local stakeholders, policymakers, and students, I help turn scientific insights into tangible improvements in public health, sustainability, and equitable urban environments.
