About Nicole Blanchette
I am a senior nursing student at the University of Michigan, currently working as a Nursing Assistant at Michigan Medicine, managing high-acuity patients in the orthopedic/trauma/plastics unit. I completed a Certified Nurse Externship at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. I spent over 360 hours over the summer gaining experience in acute care, ED, NICU, PICU, oncology, and psychiatry. I developed advanced skills in caring for complex pediatric patients.I also completed my senior practicum in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Mott Children’s Hospital, along with rotations in pediatrics, labor and delivery, newborn special care, psychiatry, adult GI/transplant, the ER, and OR/IR through school. Outside of clinical work, I serve as Director of Open Recruitment for Alpha Delta Pi, leading initiatives to welcome and support new members.I am passionate about pediatric nursing, particularly in emergency and oncology care.
