ABOUT NICOLE BERNIER

As an underwriting manager, I am experienced leading a team of underwriters across the country, providing guidance, training, mentoring, and escalation support for various loan products and scenarios. I co-chaired a corporate project to improve loan salability and quality and assist in projects to improve efficiencies and functionality throughout the wholesale channel. I have over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, starting in sales and finding a home in underwriting where I hold current DE, SAR/LAPP, and past NMLS certifications. Experienced in Microsoft Suite, BI, ACES, and quick ability to master various LOS and dashboards.I am passionate about delivering quality service, salable loans, and positive outcomes for both operations and sales. I have a one-team approach that fosters collaboration, communication, and trust. I have extensive expertise in FHA, USDA, VA, conventional, and jumbo loans, as well as project management, alt credit and income, loan structuring, and post-closing resolutions.I have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a desire to excel in my field. I have been recognized with the MVP award by Plaza Home Mortgage for my outstanding performance and contribution.
