The European Innovation Council (EIC) was established under the EU Horizon Europe programme. The EIC is Europe’s flagship innovation programme with a budget of €10.1 Billion to identify, develop and scale up breakthrough technologies and game changing innovations. The EIC Accelerator programme supports individual SMEs with substantial financial support of grant funding of up to €2.5 million and/or equity investments (direct equity investments or quasi-equity such as convertible loans) of up to €15 million managed by the EIC Fund for scale up and other relevant costs. Companies working on technologies of strategic European interest can apply for EIC investments of more than €15 million. This is decided by a jury of experts-The Innovation Fund is one of the world’s largest funding programmes for the deployment of net-zero and innovative technologies. The Innovation Fund is the EU fund for climate policy, with a focus on energy and industry. It aims to bring to the market solutions to decarbonise European industry and support its transition to climate neutrality while fostering its competitiveness.My role- Energy transition and financial expert & jury member - Assessed the technical viability, financial aspects and environmental sustainability of projects with a wide range of technologically advanced sectors- Performed a technical due diligence for a CCU project.
