About Nicolas Quintero
I\'ve spent 15 years in design, with over a decade focused on AI-powered products, starting at IBM Watson in 2013 when conversational AI was still largely experimental. That early work in information retrieval for pharmaceutical research and national security gave me a foundation in designing for complexity that has shaped everything since.Two years at McKinsey & Company added strategic range: working on projects across six countries and industries spanning energy, telecom, banking, insurance, and retail. I facilitated workshops for C-suite audiences and learned to connect design decisions to business outcomes in any domain. At OJO Labs, I led the design of AI-powered home recommendations, translating machine learning into experiences real people could trust.At Procore, I led the design of Assist, the company\'s generative AI assistant, from concept through GA launch, created AI design standards and frameworks for Procore teams to leverage, and organized cross-functional sprints to align on long-term AI interaction patterns.At my core, I focus deep on problems before jumping to solutions, and hone in on customer needs that intersect business goals.Outside of work, I\'m usually hiking, traveling, or photographing nature.
