ABOUT NICOLAS HANS PERPEET

Over the past few years, I’ve been deeply engaged with restructuring and special situations, both academically and through hands-on experience in insolvency law and turnaround consulting. What fascinates me is the opportunity to work through complex problems, reshape capital structures, and help create long-term value in challenging situations.During my studies in law and economics, I focused extensively on restructuring and insolvency-related frameworks, culminating in my academic thesis on preventive restructuring mechanisms for real estate companies in the DACH region. This work allowed me to analyze in depth how legal tools, capital structures, and operational measures interact in complex real estate situations. With an international background and more than 13 years living in the DACH region, I combine an international perspective with a deep familiarity with the German-speaking real estate landscape and its legal and institutional framework. This perspective has shaped my particular interest in real estate-related restructurings and value add/opportunistic investment situations where value can be unlocked through thoughtful repositioning, disciplined analysis, and strong execution.Going forward, I seek to deepen this expertise by engaging with complex real estate investments and special situations that demand the integration of legal insight, financial analysis, and strategic execution to create value in challenging environments.
