Former Medical Officer at the Puerto Rican Family Institute and currently the Medical Director at Inwood Community Services in New York City, has been an organizational, child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist since 1992, an academic professional in different positions since 1990, over 12 years as a clinical administrator, over 10 years as a community-based organization executive, a research psychiatrist for four years and trained in digital marketing, UX/UI user experience design, and how to code apps for Apple devices and interested in effective and user friendly healthcare smart tech solutions from the point of view of a physician.Dr. Du Mont is citizen of both the USA and Portugal. With ample experience with many healthcare settings, health programs, with clear understanding and formal training of the organizational, financial, marketing and legal elements of any type of healthcare practice. He has experience hiring, budget management, meeting regulatory and programmatic requirements, program funding, fostering the growth of employees and resolving conflicts by doing mediation and arbitration. Former member of the board and the executive committee of the Association of Hispanic Mental Health Professionals, an umbrella community-based organization for the Hispanic mental health professionals in the Tri-State area, and was the membership chair of the Gay and Lesbian Psychiatrists of New York.He has supervised and taught psychiatric residents, social workers, psychology students in many different settings, and has proven expertise in cultural psychiatry, organizational, marketing, and administrative challenges of patients of any age, and diverse cultural background populations.Always interested in applied mathematics, the applications of microbiome, IT modeling of learning, group and individual behaviors, and crises, in pure sciences, in symbolic and cognitive sciences. Dr. Du Mont was instructor of Engineering Mathematics and Bio-engineering for three years at Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico.
