Experimental study of flame stabilization and thermo-acoustic instabilitiesof hydrogen swirling flames in single-sector and annular combustors.Supervising team : Ronan Vicquelin, Sébastien Candel, Daniel Durox, Antoine RenaudSingle-sector (SICCA-H2): NOx emissions, combustion efficiency and stabilization mechanisms of hydrogen flames obtained using jet-in-crossflow injection.Study of mixing of hydrogen and air in such configurations.Measurement of lean blow-out limit extension and NOx emissions of plasma-assisted hydrogen flames using NRP discharges.Analysis of combustion dynamics. Comparison with low-order thermoacoustic models (FDF/FTM). Flame Describing Function measurements.Annular rig (MICCA-H2): Experimental analysis of thermo-acoustic instabilities coupled with azimuthal modes, Light-round ignition : flame propagation and pressure peaks.
