Research Engineer part of the Electric Transportation (ET) program at EPRI, evaluating the impact of electric vehicles (EV) on the grid through data analysis and stochastic load modeling.• JETSI: o Project leader. o Derive Energy efficiency of heavy-duty battery electric trucks. o Derive right-sized energy charging infrastructure at the fleet depot location. • Experian EV sales data: o Each month, compute the latest EV sales data and share it with utility members. o Answer members questions. o Improve code process. o Develop new capabilities. • Supplemental residential secondary design:o Develop a Monte-Carlo analysis.o Derive 24h peak demand shape for each load of a residential house (EVs included).o Develop the ReSeT tool helping utilities reviewing their standards on sizing residential service transformers taking into account home electrification and EVs.• JEA project: o Wrote a funded proposal with Jacksonville Electric Authority.o Participate in the project management. o Lead the EV charging and driving data analysis. o Present the key results to JEA monthly. • EVs managed charging program: o Interview major utilities about their EV-managed charging program. o Wrote an industry survey/ literature review about the EVs managed charging program in the US. o Present the work at a conference. • Hiring and mentoring interns: o Review 100 CVs of students looking for an internship at EPRI inside the Electric Transportation team. o Interview 15 students. o Mentoring 4 interns at EPRI. • ET team biweekly meeting: o Schedule a meeting every other week with the ET data team about different aspects of the electric grid or EPRI. o Contact different experts outside of the ET team to ask for a presentation on their topic of expertise. • DoE proposal 2022, Zero Emission Infrastructure Planning for Transforming Freight in the South Coast Air Basin: o Co-lead with South Coast Quality Air District.o $2 million proposal.
