ABOUT NICOLAS DESMOITIER
I am General Manager and R&D lead at TOOVALU, software editor and consultancy in sustainability in Nantes, France. In the same time, I am a lecturer and researcher regarding low-carbon trajectories and strategies at organizations scales at the Ecole Centrale de Nantes. Specialised in climate science and sustainability assessment, my research interests lie in downscaling global goals and planetary boundaries to corporate levels, with climate change as a starting point. I\'m particularly focusing on equity and social considerations when it comes to downscaling.I hold a MSc in Engineering (Centrale Nantes), a MSc in Environmental Engineering (Denmark Technical University), and a PhD in Sustainability Science from these two high ranking universities. I have some previous work experience as a researcher in the field of sustainability in UNEP (United Nations Environmental Program Copenhagen Climate Centre), in South East Asia as a reporter about education for all for an NGO and in China as an environmental consultant in the private sector.Over the past 5 years, I\'ve worked with dozens of companies, groups and management committees on their climate strategy and on how to integrate ESG issues into their strategies in an operational, ambitious and differentiating way.
