ABOUT NICOLA GRANT
I thrive on being challenged.Since graduating university in 1997, I have worked in multiple industries, across a number of countries and embraced all of the changes my working life has offered. From ever-transforming technologies, to new commercial models, I’ve met all challenges presented to me head-on and gained invaluable knowledge and experience along the way.I have developed a range of skills, in multiple disciplines, that mean I’m not an average commercial manager. Working in industries from banking, to telecommunications, to air transport, I have sold solutions, procured services, negotiated bilateral agreements and closed multiparty deals with values in excess of €200 million.I take great pride in contractual work, with a drive to get into the finer detail and ensure that the commercials provide maximum benefit to the business while minimising risk. I have keen interest in regulatory matters, having been involved in extensive EU Roaming and Joint Venture responses to the European Commission. This passion led to me recently being awarded a Graduate Diploma in Law, studying on a part-time basis whilst continuing to work full time. I enjoy being part of, and managing, teams to the extent that I was offered the honour of representing over 200 colleagues as Employee Champion at one of my previous organisations. This passion extends to building and maintaining relationships with external partners and vendors.Underlying my skills and experience is my focus on the customer. Whether launching a new product, developing a proposition or pricing strategy or negotiating terms with a supplier, I am consistently mindful of the end user, without whom there is no business.Specialties include: team management, relationship & partnership development, commercial & contractual negotiations, driving of increased revenues, product & lifecycle management, proposition development and partner support. I am also a podcast fan, a documentary geek and make a decent carrot cake.
