I provide a range of advice around defined benefit pension schemes. In particular I have a keen interest in helping schemes to reduce the level of risk within their pension scheme liabilities.I am a Scheme Actuary and provide funding and benefit advice to a number of Trustee boards. Other areas in which I have a particular focus include risk and liability management exercises (e.g. trivial commutation, flexible retirement and transfer value options, pension increase exchange), pension taxation for high earners (Annual and Lifetime Allowance) and pensions accounting work.I also work closely with XPS\'s Centre of Excellence, in particular on trivial commutation exercises. Such exercises have enabled schemes to remove large numbers of small pension pots whilst providing members with greater flexibility. The member engagement we have seen from such exercises has been extremely positive.
