Captain Nico Corbijn is a veteran maritime industry executive. Nico has worked directly, or as a consultant, for most large cruise lines, including Carnival Corporation, Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Royal Caribbean International. He also worked for high-end cruise lines, such as Windstar Cruises, Majestic America Line (combination of American Steamboat Company, Delta Queen Steamboat Company, and American West Steamboat Company), Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas.Nico’s shipboard career started as a deck apprentice with Holland America Line in 1982, and he became captain in 1998. His corporate positions included \"Director, Environmental Compliance\" for Holland America Line;\"Vice President, Fleet Personnel\" for Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings; and \"Executive Vice President, Fleet Operations\" for Windstar Cruises and Majestic America Line. While at BMT Designers & Planners, Nico consulted not only for cruise lines, but also for Höegh Shipping A/S, OMI, NOAA, and the Royal Canadian Navy.Nico has a Master’s in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor’s in Marine Transportation from the Maritime Institute “De Ruyter” in Vlissingen, The Netherlands. He is a Master Mariner and a RABQSA Certified EMS Environmental Auditor. Nico is HRCI-certified as a Senior Professional in HR and as a Global Professional in HR.
