ABOUT NICK BROWN
I am a Big4 trained Chief Financial Officer with extensive experience gained within commerce and from advising blue-chip businesses on a broad range of strategic issues. My value proposition is providing financial and commercial oversight to investment intensive organisations that require strategic financial management to maximise IRR and mitigate risk including Funds, Real Estate and Infrastructure organisations. My key achievements include: leading detailed fee negotiation and re-modelling fee structures that resulted in reduced risk and preserved margins; leading scenario based planning and creating robust methodologies that avoided disruption to pricing of funds following the Brexit referendum; creating a best-in-class commercial / financial structure with complex revenue assurance model that rescued the deal for a landmark investment in London’s Regent street; and creating a robust 10 year plan which allowed the Hong Kong Airport Authority to re-strategise and optimise operational profitability before completion of its £5bn construction programme. I have also led the due diligence process and structuring of many complex, big ticket corporate finance transactions (including high-profile IPOs) that enabled these deals to close. My blend of corporate finance and financial management experience coupled with extensive commercial acumen have allowed me to develop financial strategies that have protected cash flow, driven profit, mitigated risk, improved service delivery capability and ensured robust corporate governance. I’m equally at home analysing numbers as I am in the board-room developing high-level corporate strategy.
