Read Easy Southampton provide free, confidential one-to-one reading coaching for adults. Our vision is for all adults in Southampton to have the literacy skills they need to realise their potential and live life to the full. Readers meet their coaches twice a week, for just half an hour at a time, at an approved venue. We believe it is important to make the experience flexible and fun for the reader, with no timescales or pressure attached. We’re a locally-run volunteer group and are an affiliated member of national charity Read Easy UK. As a volunteer member of the Management team, I lead our local organisation.

I am an ageing, balding person with plenty of enthusiasm for living, learning and helping others. Professionally I am either known as a consultant, coach, facilitator, teacher or mentor. I am also an associate, a trustee of a charity, a team leader of another and an aspiring Non-Executive Director. Personally I am a father, partner, runner, yogi, reader, writer,(rubbish) golfer and (sad) Southampton FC supporter.Still Waters is an idea that has helped me to bring three apparently-unrelated topics together under one virtual roof. It is an exploration of what I’ve been doing, what I’d like to do next and what I hope to leave behind when I’m done.
