About Nick Dyer
Nick Dyer is the founder and CEO of PubPass. Since its creation in 2014, Nick has led the company from a simple brewery passport to a digital exploration platform. Today, PubPass is a million dollar company with over twenty employees and contractors. In 2017, Nick was named “40 Under 40” by Minneapolis / St. Paul Business Journal.Before being named CEO at PubPass, Nick was a UX Strategist and Experience Design Consultant at Slalom and Ah Be Se. He helped clients such as Cargill, Ameriprise and Be The Match identify product and service design solutions to difficult problems. In addition to overall strategy, Nick led all UX, ethnography, research and front-end prototyping for these projects.His diverse portfolio covers a broad range of complex, high profile projects in product/service innovation, new ventures, sustainability design, application design, artificial intelligence (AI), VR/AR, IoT, data visualization, and systems design.One notable project was the creation of a new digital experience for the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in the Netherlands. Here he led the Dutch team to build a digital exhibit that raised awareness around the proliferation of chemical weapons in the world.Nick has always been a serial entrepreneur, often solving social problems through simple incentives. Write History (2006) was created to preserve stories of the elderly. The Statesman Group (2011) was formed to temper political polarization. Existential Crisis Anonymous (2017) allayed the spiritual vacuum in the US. In 2020 he formed the Rosewater Service Corps to serve the needs of Minnesotans during the COVID-19 pandemic where he and others delivered groceries to seniors.Nick earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and Anthropology from the University of Minnesota. Nick lives in Saint Paul, MN with his three children. He enjoys fly fishing, soccer and travel. He is the author of LITTLE THINGS, Peter Pauper Press.
