About Nick Goehring
My name is Nick Goehring and I perform external System and Organization Controls (SOC) audits for over 30+ Clients. As an Advisory Senior Associate, I am responsible for leading engagements, discussions, and testing controls based on AICPA criteria for commercial and SAAS clients around the world to determine their posture of security and risk for relevant stakeholders. I also perform gap assessments, providing guidance and best practices for remediation and mitigating control gaps in regards to SOC criteria. I have graduated from the University of Dallas where I received my MS in Information Security and BA in Business. In addition to both of these degrees, I completed four years of college baseball as a pitcher where I learned the importance of time management, organization, and leadership skills. Along with my academic and athletic pursuits, I had the privilege of working for Guidepoint Security in a Cybersecurity internship role in 2019, where I learned valuable professional skills such as benchmarking, risk management/analysis, TCP/IP, IT compliance, disaster recovery operations, PCI compliance, NIST 800-53, and IT/IS.
