About Nick Fazah

Diving has been my passion since I took my first breath underwater at the age of 13, and it has shaped my life and career ever since. As the President and joint owner of ECDivers, Inc, I’ve spent decades cultivating a thriving dive community, pushing boundaries in underwater exploration, and championing education and safety in the diving industry. I’ve been teaching diving since 2004 and hold an extensive range of instructor ratings across multiple certifying agencies, including SSI, SDI, TDI, PADI, NAUI, and PFI. From freediving and technical diving to rebreather and instructor training, I’ve developed programs and led teams to deliver exceptional underwater experiences for divers of all levels. Beyond ECDivers, I’ve worn many hats in the diving world- Former President, Boston Sea Rovers (2019–2024): Led one of the world’s most prestigious diving organizations- Director and Founder, Tactical Reintegration Project (TRP): A non-profit fostering community and inclusion for veterans, active service members, and gold star families- Captain and Founder, East Coast Dive Charters: Delivering unparalleled diving experiences in New England waters- International Freediving Training Director, SSI Freediving: Developing freediving programs across the Americas and the Caribbean while training the next generation of freediving instructors. I began my teaching journey in England, instructing snorkeling, archery, and climbing for children and adults. This foundation in adventure sports eventually led me to a global career in diving education. My certifications reflect a deep commitment to all aspects of diving- Freediving: International Training Director, Instructor Trainer (SSI, PFI)- Scuba: Instructor Trainer (SSI, SDI, TDI, NAUI), Advanced Nitrox, Staged Decompression, Semi-Closed Rebreather, and more- Safety: Extensive experience in oxygen first aid and dive safety protocols. Whether it’s overseeing dive charters, crafting freediving decompression tables, or presenting at international conferences, I bring a unique blend of expertise, innovation, and passion to everything I do. I’m driven by a simple mission: to inspire others to explore the underwater world and create meaningful connections through education, adventure, and community.
