About Nicholas Emer
With a deep passion for engineering and healthcare innovation, I am currently a student at Colorado State University, pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. I aspire to leverage my academic background and valuable internship experience as I seek opportunities for employment within the dynamic and impactful field medical device industry. During my time at Colorado State University, I led the Robotic Prosthetic Hand Project, where I designed, developed, and tested a cost-effective 3D-printed robotic hand for lower-arm amputees. Since then, I created an accompanying workshop educating local high school students on engineering principles through the presentation of my project. As an Equipment Engineer Intern at Tolmar Inc, I gained cGMP pharmaceutical experience, managing regulatory compliance, vendor interactions, and successfully designing a pump adapter for an Aseptic Syringe Filling machine. During my Medtronic Summer Internship with Aerotek, I contributed to the manufacturing of Laparoscopic Sealer/Dividers in a cGMP environment, executing tests and enhancing product safety and line efficiency. I am incredibly eager to bring my engineering expertise and innovation mindset to new challenges.
