Currently working as a civil engineering project manager overseeing the development of approximately 20 - 30 projects at any given time. Projects vary in size and scope, ranging from smaller residential designs to larger developments such as 30-acre commercial shopping centers and 400+ unit master-planned residential communities.Daily tasks include securing necessary permitting and zoning compliance from appropriate agencies. Once secured, I hold client meetings and site visits to assist in creating optimal and constructible concept drawings for the proposed project. These are transformed into finalized development plans in CAD following my completion of engineering-related calculations, such as utility design, stormwater design, grading, quantity calculations, hydrologic assessments and code compliance checks. My proficiency with the latest drafting and modeling programs facilitates these processes.I manage all of the submissions to the various permitting agencies the project may require. It is common to monitor 15 - 20 unique projects during this phase, most being at varying levels of review completion. This requires extensive monitoring of numerous different submittals for a variety of projects to individual permitting agencies such as SWFWMD, City/County Utility Department, City/County Development Review Committee, FDOT, Waste Management, FDOH, FWC, DEP and Army Corps of Engineers among others. I also address any RAI letters or general concerns from various agencies, legal entities, general contractors, sub-consultants, architects, surveyors, MEP engineers, structural engineers and most importantly from the client(s) themselves. My ultimate goal in this position is to seamlessly transform existing parcels with creative solutions, optimal functionality and direct input from the client(s) into a tangible reality they can utilize and benefit from - all while acting in good faith towards our environment, the community and the profession itself.
