I invest in and help build companies working on the frontier of energy, mobility, and AI: the technologies that will shape the next two decades of industrial transition.For five years I was a Principal at Chevron Technology Ventures, leading the Emerging Mobility and Energy Decentralization verticals across Future Energy Funds I, II, and ($900M total). I led thesis, origination, and execution on deals in autonomous vehicles, nuclear fusion, and distributed power and storage, and served as board observer on portfolio companies. Before CTV, I spent seven years inside Chevron\'s trading, planning, and business development groups. That\'s where I learned how industrial incumbents actually make decisions, and why startups often misread them.Today I\'m architecting the Rice AI Venture Accelerator (RAVA), a non sibi ventures initiative built in partnership with Rice University and supported by Google, to commercialize frontier AI out of Houston\'s Ion District. I\'m also a non-executive director at Dawson Technologies, where we\'re building a racing series around an FCEV hypercar to prove out a hydrogen powertrain platform.What I\'m looking for is a role where deep industrial knowledge and venture instincts both pay off. That might mean investing again, at a fund or inside a corporate. It might mean building deep-tech ecosystems: accelerators, innovation hubs, or university-corporate platforms. Or it might mean operating at a climate, mobility, or deep-tech company that needs to land enterprise customers and raise serious capital.
