ABOUT NICK WHITE

Nick White is an award-winning audio producer and editor based in Los Angeles. He is currently SVP, Original Audio with Higher Ground Productions. Previously, he was an executive producer with Pushkin Industries, a podcast and audiobook production company. There he worked on several projects including Miracle & Wonder: Conversations with Paul Simon, an intimate audiobook-first biography of the beloved songwriter. He was the creator and executive producer of KCRW’s Lost Notes, a music documentary podcast that was named the best podcast of 2019 by Vulture and celebrated by The New Yorker, The Verge and the Third Coast International Audio Festival among others. At KCRW he worked to develop, launch and produce several other podcasts including Welcome to LA, Bodies and UnFictional. Before that Nick spent several years as the senior producer for NPR\'s Bullseye with Jesse Thorn, a pop culture interview program. In 2011 Nick produced episodes of Marc Maron’s WTF podcast for national broadcast via PRX. He began his career in Chicago at the public radio station WBEZ in 2006. Over the years his radio programs have been featured elsewhere around the country and world including NPR, Marketplace, the BBC World Service and the HearSay International Audio Festival. He has made podcasts with and for the San Francisco Chronicle, Major League Baseball, Complex Magazine and Neon Hum Media. His work has been recognized by the Third Coast/Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Competition, the New York Festivals Radio Awards, the Los Angeles Press Club, the Public Radio News Directors Incorporated (PRNDI) and nationally by the RTDNA / Edward R. Murrow Awards.
