ABOUT NICK VAUGHAN-WILLIAMS
Professor Nick Vaughan-Williams FAcSS is Provost and Vice-Principal at the University of Birmingham, UK. Previously, he was Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Head of the College of Social Sciences. Nick is a Fellow and Trustee of the Academy of Social Sciences. Over the course of his career, Nick has held several senior leadership positions, including Vice-Provost and Chair of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Head of the Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick, UK. He has led £1m+ research programmes funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. Listed among the Stanford University ’Top 2%’ of world-leading scientists and a former recipient of the Philip Leverhulme Prize, his research on migration, borders, and security has informed policy debate at the highest levels in the UK and EU.
