About Nick Tumminello

As a student aspiring to break into the sports and marketing field, I have the privilege of seeing the game and event from a unique point of view.When I started at Sacred Heart, I took on a student management position with our Division 1 Women\'s Hockey program. By my second year, I became the senior manager and began to work alongside our Men\'s Hockey program. I was beyond fortunate to be a part of the inaugural season at Martire Family Arena. Then, I truly learned how much a brand could tell a story. From the bench, I watched how the Pioneers marketed themselves to become a staple of their town.As a housekeeping supervisor at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater, I gained more experience in the live entertainment industry. There was much excitement for the reopening season of such a historic venue. The rebranded identity of the theater brought its most vital characteristic back to the forefront: locality. The fan experience is held to an excellent standard, and the work of our department and my show night team contribute significantly to the fan experience.That unique point of view has taught me a great deal about marketing in these industries far outside the classroom. A brand has a story to tell, and the fan wants to be a part of that. Building a team\'s identity does not only occur between the buzzer but is an effort that reaches every corner of that venue. The team is nothing without the fan, and I strive to make that connection.I am eager to continue studying and earn my Marketing, Sports Management, and Digital Marketing degree, and I look forward to what is next!
