ABOUT NICK SMITH
I’m a Senior Creative Copywriter and Creative Lead with 15+ years’ experience creating ideas in some of London’s top advertising agencies.Over the years I’ve worked across integrated campaigns, brand platforms, TV advertising, social, digital and experiential, helping global brands find clear, distinctive ways to connect with people. My work has spanned everything from global brand campaigns to tone of voice development, CRM and social content.I’ve created work for brands including Volvo, GSK, Qatar Airways, NatWest, Bentley, BMW Group and Specsavers, working across agencies such as Ogilvy, Grey London, Wunderman Thompson, Havas, McCann, Digitas and Engine Group. As a freelance senior copywriter, I often help brands shape ideas from concept through to execution. That might mean developing a campaign platform, defining a brand’s tone of voice, writing scripts and social content, or working closely with creative teams to bring a bigger idea to life. Some highlights include- Leading the renaming and tone of voice for Engine Group, rebranding the network as House 337- Writing the Hillary’s TV campaign, featuring a brand character voiced by Jennifer Saunders- Creating integrated campaigns and brand experiences for Qatar Airways, seen by millions of travellers- Delivering global campaigns for GSK brands including Sensodyne, Corsodyl and Polident. What I care about most is the idea and the craft behind it. Whether it’s a global campaign, a brand repositioning or a social-first activation, the goal is always the same: create work that makes people stop, feel something, and remember the brand behind it.You can see more of my work
