Nick Shoolingin-Jordan is an Emmy-nominated Creative Lead, Series Director, Writer-Director and Cinematographer working across premium, blue-chip science, natural history, conservation and human storytelling for global platforms including Netflix, BBC, National Geographic, PBS and Discovery. He brings a rare combination of creative leadership, over two decades of experience in high-end visual effects, and hands-on cinematography, allowing him to shape both narrative vision and visual language from concept through delivery. Nick specialises in immersive story architecture that sustains audience engagement at scale, a skill he applies as a senior creative and narrative shaper on complex, multi-episode productions. His most recent work, The Dinosaurs, premieres March 6 on Netflix, where he serves as Series Director on the landmark four-part series executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Amblin Documentaries, with visual effects by Industrial Light & Magic and produced by Silverback Films, telling the complete rise and fall of the dinosaurs as a single, cinematic saga. He worked on Life On Our Planet (Netflix), narrated by Morgan Freeman, helping define the series’ creative approach and scale. His other recent credits include One Strange Rock (National Geographic), collaborating with Darren Aronofsky, Ari Handel and Framestore and A Perfect Planet (BBC), presented by Sir David Attenborough.
