About Nick Schiavone
Mr. Schiavone has nineteen (19) years of practice in the engineering and construction management field. He has a broad background in field construction inspection, surveys and construction management. Mr. Schiavone has extensive knowledge of as-built and construction surveys, claims and changes, claims avoidance strategies, contract procurement, contract management, design-build engineering management and construction safety. His experience includes a background of geotechnical design, field inspections, and construction management on large construction projects, including tunneling for both rail and sewerage, as well as heavy and light rail projects. In many cases work was conducted within close proximity to active roadways and pedestrian traffic. He is also, experienced in resident inspection and construction management including but not limited to, tunnel construction utilizing Earth Pressure Balance (EPB) tunnel boring machine, installation of underground structures and associated drainage/sewerage piping, concrete tunnel lining and tunnel construction for commuter rail. Also, experienced in most aspects of vertical construction including structural steel, concrete, and installation of related MEP works such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems, and instrumentation/SCADA.
