ABOUT NICK REYNOLDS

I am an experienced and qualified mechanical designer and engineer. My recent experience focused on the 3D design of hydraulic and electro-mechanical equipment for the subsea and offshore industries. I handle design and production of very high level engineered solutions, detailed assembly, machining and fabrication drawings for manufacture. I also produce FEA and calculation work, load test and FAT procedures, estimates and quotes, and have experience of managing schedules and cost reports.I’ve worked on ROV tooling, wind and wave energy convertors, electrical connectors, mooring points, corrosion inspection, survey equipment, emergency pipeline repair systems, flange bolting tools, HPU skids, pipelay equipment, vessel design and modification, mobilisation plans, subsea manifolds, piping plans, field layouts, automated power tongs, well centric heavy torque tooling and lifting equipment, hydraulic presses, vacuum autoclaves, manufacturing plant for plastic components, patterns and moulds, fluid storage, and a wee bit of building design.I\'m a keen problem solver, always looking for the smart way to solve a design problem and always keen to learn and share new skills and techniques with others.
