This AW23 season I have been taking care of Room Y at the new capacity Drumsheds venue, famously located inside a disused IKEA. Over the coming season, Drumsheds will be welcoming a whole host of the world’s highly regarded talent in the world of electronic music. Room Y itself holds a 4,500 capacity and has a much clubbier feel to it as opposed to the vast capacity Room X and the much more intimate Room Z- Ensuring artists had everything from a technical standpoint required for their performance- Ensuring the safety onstage of all artists, crew and guests, and the audience from a stage perspective- Making sure all stage production elements were ready for doors- Ensuring programming runs to schedule and curfew is not breached- Acting as a conduit between the artists, their teams and our technical departments and communicating any details if needed- Being reactive to any incidents in the audience and cooperating with our operations departments and event control to follow procedures- Executing seamless changeovers- Coordinating with Artist Liaison the artist’s arrival to stage.
