Translational medicine and defining the molecular pathways responsible for health outcomes are the focus of our environmental toxicology research program, but we are also developing sustainability and community resilience projects in cooperative courses that enhance interactions between UND and the City of Grand Forks. These are designed to unite the skills of university departments, community experts, and commercial entities in shared endeavors directed at resolving public concerns. Additional projects seek to unite skill sets that are unique to the university with developing insightful solutions for regional, state, national, and international challenges. http://essp.und.edu/faculty/ralston.aspx http://net-effects.und.edu/factsheets.aspx
