I am a businessman and transactional lawyer with in-house experience who gives practical advice that helps my clients achieve their business objectives. I focus my practice on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, joint venture agreements, and other complex business transactions. My clients include private equity sponsors, investment funds, energy transition investors, operating companies, startup ventures, executives, investors, and upstream and midstream oil and gas companies. I am based in Dallas, Texas where I am a partner in the firm’s Transactions Practice and Energy Sector. I serve as the Chair of Foley\'s Oil and gas subsector, the vice chair of the Firm\'s Energy Transition subsector and the chair of the Firm\'s Hydrogen practice team. I am a generalist who prides myself on serving my clients across numerous industries as “outside general counsel.” I focus my efforts on energy-related matters, including upstream and midstream oil and gas, acquisitions and divestitures, joint ventures, and operating contracts. I also work on a number of energy transition matters, with experience in renewable natural gas and hydrogen projects.
