Red Lion Chambers is a leading set of chambers operating from premises in London and Chelmsford, headed by Tony Shaw QC & Gillian Jones QC. Specialising in complex crime, serious and corporate fraud, regulatory enforcement and public law.Our members are routinely instructed in the most difficult and factually complex cases, many of which attract substantial media attention. We have a wider strategic skillset and depth of experience because we both defend and prosecute.We now house over 100 barristers, including 24 Queen’s Counsel and 16 Crown Court Recorders. Five members have chaired the Criminal Bar Association. Others have gone on to become Crown Court Judges, High Court Judges and the Chief Coroner of England & Wales and Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).Many current members also contribute to or edit leading criminal works such as Archbold Criminal Pleadings and Practice, OUP’s Fraud, Criminal Law and Procedure and Blackstone.
