ABOUT NICK ORRIS
Experienced sports management professional with 7 years of experience in hockey. Started my career with the Omaha Lancers (USHL) as an intern out of high school which quickly jumpstarted my professional career. Used my experience and education to create the Rising Stars Sports Group, whose primary goal is providing kids some incredible experiences and opportunities in hockey. Coaching is my passion and purpose, I love to be surrounded by youth athletes and share my experiences with them to help our next generation succeed. Through Rising Stars, I have run dozens of youth and adult hockey tournaments ranging from as little as 6-8 teams to as much as 75+. I have created a competitive summer hockey program that gives kids an opportunity to keep playing and developing in the offseason. I have developed camps in the offseason that provide kids development from USA Hockey certified coaches for only the cost of ice. Rising Stars has given me a platform to achieve my purpose of paying it forward to the game of hockey, and most importantly, the kids who love the game I do. I have a sales background from my time with the Lancers. I have a leadership and management background from my time running Rising Stars and coaching youth hockey. I am a learner and continue striving to get better each and every day. It\'s something I preach as a coach, and it\'s something I live in my personal and professional career. I value people and strong ethical behaviors. I love a new challenge and stepping outside the comfort zone.
