Nick specialises in high-tech patent work and in particular in the fields of telecommunications, computer implemented inventions, electronics, and medical devices.He advises his clients on all aspects of patent protection, including the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, opposition proceedings, and infringement and validity opinions and he has particular experience of standards-related patent matters.Nick also has a keen interest in, and significant experience of, industrial designs and works daily with his clients to ensure the best protection for their industrial designs.Nick has a wide range of clients – from one man bands to multinational corporations – and is always mindful to provide commercially relevant advice that takes into account his clients’ needs.Nick is an active intellectual property educator and regularly lectures for the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, Queen Mary University of London, Bournemouth University, and Imperial College London.
