About Nick Moen

On October 22nd, 2025 I was named the President and CEO for Special Olympics South Dakota.Previously, I worked as an Athletic Administrator at Augustana University. In this position I oversaw the strategic partnerships, hotel/food trade, sport supervision for four athletic programs, and worked as the NIL Liaison for student-athletes after being in a compliance role and internal administration/operations role within the athletic department.I came to Augustana after spending 16 months where I worked on the athletic leadership team as the Assistant Athletic Director - Internal Operations at the University of Sioux Falls. I was responsible for handling ticketing, coordinated Game Day workers, assisted with oversight of day-to-day operations, community relations, and served as the communications contact for soccer and softball. Prior to USF, I worked in the front office of various baseball teams including the Portland Pickles and Sioux Falls Sunfish.In addition, I served as a baseball scout for Inside Edge Scouting Service, a company that has contracts with Major League Baseball organizations to provide real-time data/analytics/scouting reports to MLB organizations. Additionally, have several years of experience in the private sector working in finance, accounting, and operations with Marriott International.Had the pleasure of spending my younger years coaching various levels of football and baseball, going on to win conference and state championships. Getting the opportunity to work with student-athletes to strengthen relationships and deepen the impact in the communities being served, made me who I am today.
