ABOUT NICK LOBERTO

I joined Hines in September 2017 and am currently working as a Senior Director of Design & Construction at the CIBC SQUARE (81 Bay & 141 Bay) development in Toronto. I am also Hines\' Design & Construction Market Lead for the Canada region, working closely with our team of construction professionals to deliver excellence in every project through quality, collaboration, and uncompromising integrity. With experience in the commercial high-rise & P3 design-build-finance sectors, my skills include effectively managing the demands of Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors while achieving the budget and schedule milestones of fast-track projects. I bring hands-on knowledge to both the preconstruction and design stages of the project prior to actual construction. I also work closely with tenant stakeholders to ensure their success within our developments.Following the completion of an institutional laboratory in 2007, the University of Toronto Centre for Biological Timing & Cognition, I joined EllisDon\'s 18 York Street team as a Coordinator at the 26-storey LEED Gold high-rise PwC Tower in downtown Toronto. The delivery of this technologically-integrated commercial office building led directly to the development of the adjacent Bremner Office Tower, where I continued as an Assistant Project Manager. The successes at these two high-profile construction projects honed my leadership and communication skills in the fast-paced urban construction environment.Following Bremner Office Tower, I joined EllisDon\'s team as a Project Manager at the Joseph Brant Hospital Redevelopment in Burlington, Ontario. The redevelopment was a fixed-price, design-build-finance project which gave the Burlington community improved access to a larger, modern hospital with more single patient rooms. The seven-storey tower also included a new emergency department.
