About Nick Latino
My name is Nick Latino, I currently attend Illinois State University, majoring in Marketing and sequencing in Integrated Marketing Communications. I plan to graduate in the Spring of 2025. After graduation, I intend to work within the sports industry. I am currently a student intern for the Illinois State Athletic Communications department. I interned with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the summer of 2024 as a ticket sales and member experience intern. While with the Jaguars, I got an in depth look on how many employees and departments it takes to run an NFL team efficiently. I was involved in several projects throughout the summer that I got to see come to life, worked with different departments, and received insightful advice from many of the senior level staff. I have 2 seasons worth of experience as a Game Operations assistant with the Chicago Blackhawks AHL affiliate, the Rockford Ice Hogs. During my time with the Ice Hogs, I was able to learn a lot about the business side of sports. With the Ice Hogs being a relatively small team, I made connections with people in almost every department within the company, seeing firsthand on how each role impacts the team and fanbase. At Illinois State, I am involved in the Sports Marketing Student Association which has allowed me to connect with people who have to same interests and ideas as me. Being a part of this group has also allowed me to network with others who have the same post graduation aspirations of working in the sports industry like me.
