ABOUT NICK JENKINS
After 20 years on the shop floor of the NHS developing my specialism in Emergency Medicine, I still enjoy my clinical work alongside a variety of leadership roles I have undertaken. I have both CCG and acute/community trust Board experience, as well as having been a non-executive director of a multi-academy schools’ trust.I very much enjoy the Board-level work, helping shape the strategic direction of organisations to provide patients with the best healthcare possible. I am ambitious and innovative - believing it is important to try more than just \"more of the same\".My expertise lies in bridging the space between hospital and primary and community care as well as linking clinical staff to executive teams. I have particular interests in- Digital healthcare, having been both a chief clinical information officer and a clinical safety officer - Emergency medicine leadership, having been a clinical director and also a pilot site for changed emergency access standards. I still work clinically in emergency medicine, currently acting as a clinical lead for our Urgent Treatment Centre.
