About Nicholas Humeniuk-Sandberg
My journey in technology began with a passion for animation discovered during a project on MAYA 3D while pursuing an associate degree in Game Art & Design at Shoreline Community College. This project didn\'t just spark an interest; it made me realize how much I enjoy creating and problem-solving through technology. After gaining practical experience and financial stability working as a server and deckhand at Argosy Cruises, I returned to Shoreline with a clear goal: to dive into Computer Science. I immersed myself in learning Python and Java, tackled Calculus and sharpened my writing skills in advanced English courses. My self-driven studies, including Java tutorials on W3Schools and a Computer Science certification through Upskillist, solidified my commitment to this path. I recently graduated from Per Scholas - Seattle campus, where I focused on mastering the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js), JavaScript, and TypeScript. My background in game art gives me a unique perspective, enabling me to approach software engineering with a creative and problem-solving mindset. I’m looking forward to the next step in my career where I can apply my skills and continue to grow. Skills:* MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js)* JavaScript, Java, Experience in Python, Typescript * DOM & BOM manipulation, API integration * Problem-solving, Creative thinking, Game Art & Design * Customer service, Team collaboration, Experience in Project management * Git, GitHub * Scrum, Kanban * AWS, Azure * Debugging, Performance Optimization * Mobile First Design * RESTful API
