ABOUT NICK HOWE

I am passionate about the quality of food in the UK. I gain inspiration from visiting exciting restaurants and keep up to date with global food themes and trends through regular travels to the USA and France. I love bread making and regularly bake at home and enjoy visiting top artisan bakeries around the world that include Boudin Bakery in San Francisco and Balthazar Bakery in London. I have worked with bakery gurus Colin Lomax and Richard Bertinet.Combined with my love of food, I have developed a range of Project Management skills that can deliver projects on time, in full and sometimes with limited resource. I have over 19 years experience in a FMCG business with Hovis and Premier Foods (formally RHM) and have gained further skills in production management, product development and technical management and most recently as a programme manager in a customer facing role delivering Bakery NPD for M&S. I have excellent technical and interpersonal skills, which have left me well positioned to succeed in all dynamic and challenging environments. Key issues dealt with on a daily basis include: quality assurance, financial planning and feasibility, liaising with customers and suppliers, new product launches and managing change.My enthusiasm, confidence and determination allow me be a self starter or to build teams and work with others in order to meet tight deadlines and reach targets. I can offer leadership, efficiency, high working standards, and the ability to prioritize tasks. I have a clear understanding of how to deliver within an organization’s overall business goals and objectives.
