ABOUT NICK HENDERSON
An experienced operations executive, operationally and commercially astute in the Oil & Energy sector with specific emphasis on Maintenance, Projects and Turnaround settings. With over 30 years’ experience managing multidiscipline teams, his background and experience have ensured safe and effective operational delivery. Having managed contracts on numerous oil refineries and major power stations in the UK, he is skilled at stakeholder management and an accomplished negotiator in contractual situations. Capable of collaborating at all levels, he is an extremely confident communicator able to develop mutually beneficial working relationships with project teams and clients alike. Project and Turnaround experience is underpinned with MSc Project Management and BSc Engineering Management. Previous Executive Director responsibilities included the indirect line management of personnel and P&L accountability >£170m per annum; Site Manager responsibility for mechanical projects & routine maintenance contracts on major oil refineries in the UK; TAR Manager role for several major oil refinery shutdowns; and offshore sector experience in supervisory roles.Former role as Managing Director of a £45m per annum Quality Assurance business has added strategic and financial intelligence competencies to his existing professional attributes. He has demonstrated versatility through a variety of roles in corporate, maintenance, project, and shutdown environments. These roles have provided a unique blend of operational and business capabilities which have been supplemented with an MBA.
