About Nick Glass
A nationally known educational partner focused on improving literacy opportunities for all students, Nick has a Master\'s in educational policy and the history of multicultural education from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and runs TeachingBooks - literacy services that are licensed by thirteen states for all their residents, serving more than schools and public library branches worldwide. TeachingBooks is Nick\'s professional passion, where he oversees its efforts to enrich all readers build connections to the books they are reading.In October 2021, TeachingBooks joined OverDrive, Inc to bring books and resources together.Nick has presented and published throughout the industry. He started with School Library Journal a monthly newsletter called Curriculum Connections. He and TeachingBooks regularly publish in The Horn Book and Book Links. He has led featured sessions on at numerous conferences, including empowering conversations about diverse books at AASL’s conference, ALA\'s Annual Conference, Texas Library Association, The Charlotte Huck Book Festival, and many state conferences. Nick has served on numerous book award committees, including the Newbery, Legacy, Green Earth, and Sibert Book Award juries, as well as the Coretta Scott King, Caldecott, Newbery, and Pura Belpré anniversary public awareness campaigns. And one other curious note about Nick - he is one of the few children’s book experts who has worked in Major League Baseball. He was the statistician for the San Francisco Giants in the late 1980s to early 1990s.Nick is an experienced Founder with a demonstrated history of working in the education and library industries. He has strong business development, professional skills in Educational Technology, Social Media, Training, Editing, and Curriculum Development
