In this role I am responsible for the creation of a central Engineering function to support the delivery of major capital projects, delivering the organisations ambitious decarbonisation targets and developing a world class technical team to support the business ambition to double size and profitability.The initial focus of the role was the development of the operating model, recruitment of key talent and undertaking a detailed capital portfolio risk analysis. With this initial phase completed the focus has now moved onto the creation of capital allocation models, project controls capabilities, technical standards and the delivery of a multi-site maintenance excellence program.
