My role as a Field Application Scientist is focused on automating customer laboratory workflows with liquid handling robots in the Midwest region. My personal expertise is in library preparation for next generation sequencing (NGS), molecular biology, cell culture, and synthetic biology applications at both high and low throughput. I spend time translating manual SOPs into robotic methods and worklists and then implementing that code at the customer site. I also support troubleshooting non-standard sample types or developing new processes to improve lab reproducibility, time to result, traceability, and cost per sample.
