ABOUT NICK EASTHAM

With over 20 years of experience in eLearning development, I bring technical expertise and a strong track record of delivering high-quality digital learning solutions. Most recently, I’ve worked with Capita Learning Experience, where I led the technical development of eLearning projects for a diverse portfolio of blue-chip clients. In addition to hands-on development, I guided and supported the work of content and experience designers, having trained them in a range of authoring tools to help ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences.I specialise in industry-leading authoring tools including Articulate Storyline, Rise, Evolve, Dominknow One, Elucidat, and others. My extensive experience enables me to push these tools to their limits, often incorporating custom code, such as JavaScript, jQuery, and CSS, to deliver bespoke functionality and enhanced learner experiences.I also design and deliver training workshops to build capability in digital learning development. These sessions are tailored to suit both experienced developers and L&D teams new to eLearning, ensuring practical, tool-specific skills are embedded effectively.Beyond content creation, I have a strong understanding of Learning Management Systems, with in-depth knowledge of SCORM 1.2 and 2004, and how best to capture the learner data that clients require.Accessibility is another area of passion and expertise. I’ve developed accessible eLearning content across multiple tools, ensuring compatibility with assistive technologies like screen readers and voice recognition software. I’ve also contributed to accessibility audits for both learning platforms and individual modules, helping organisations meet compliance standards and improve learner inclusion.
